WARNING - AS WITH MOST OF MY TUTORIALS, THIS ONE IS GRAPHIC INTENSIVE. I HAVE USED MANY SCREEN SHOTS ALONG THE WAY. I'M TRYING SOMETHING NEW FOR THIS TUTORIAL. I'M USING THUMBNAILS AND A NEW SCRIPT THAT I HOPE WILL REDUCE THE LOAD TIME OF THE PAGES. IF YOU CLICK ON ANY OF THE THUMBNAILS A LARGER IMAGE OF THE GRAPHIC WILL OPEN. YOU CAN DRAG THE NEW IMAGE BY CLICKING AND HOLDING ON THE TOP BAR. CLICK ON THE X TO CLOSE THE LARGER IMAGE. We're going to use the following swatch to add color to our image. Right click on the color swatch below and save to your hard drive. Open in PSP. Keep this image to the left of your angel, but make sure it is visible on your workspace, so that you can switch between colors when necessary.
We're going to add some color to our image now. Before we do, let's rename all of our different shapes. This will make it easier for the next part of our tutorial. On your layer palette, make sure each of your layers are expanded and rename each object accordingly.
NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO SAVE YOUR IMAGE (CTRL +S) If your Object Selector tool is active, the vector shape will become active when you click on the corresponding object in your layer palette. This will allow you to make sure you are naming the right objects. Notice the square surrounding the left wing in the following screenshot? This indicates that our left wing is our active vector object. With your left wing the selected object, click on the Properties button in your Tool Options box:
This will open the Vector Properties options box. In this box you can change the properties of your vector object, in this case, our left wing. We will be using the Styles boxes.
We'll be leaving the stroke color black for all our objects, so the only change
we'll be making is to the Fill color. NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO SAVE YOUR IMAGE (CTRL +S) Click on your head layer and open/expand the layer if necessary. Make your "hair" the active object by clicking on it in your layer palette. Click on Properties in your Tool Options box. Change the Fill color to the second color on your color swatch (gold). Click on your face object and change the fill color to the third color on your color swatch. Your image should now look like this: Click on your body layer and change all three objects (body, left arm, and right arm) so that your Fill color is the third color on your color swatch.

Make your body layer active. Click on Selections/Select All; then Selections/Float. Only your body should be selected. Click on your clouds layer and hit your delete key. You should now have this: Change your foreground color to black and your background color to null. Click on your draw tool and use the following settings:
Changing your active layers, add some detail to your image: define the fingers on the hands, extend the lines on the wings and tufts of hair inward, and add some puffs to your clouds: In case you can't tell where I added my highlights, here's the basics: Make your body layer active. Change your foreground color to the third color on your color swatch. Click on your Paint Brush tool, and using the following settings, paint over the top inner portion of the right arm:
