1. We need to
"tweak" our different body parts. For the purpose of
learning the process we'll use the left arm.
2. Click on your
Object Selector tool and click on the
left arm.
3. In your Tool Options window
click on Node Edit:

4. The first thing I did was
add four nodes as shown below. To add a node, hold down your control
key and hover your pointer above the point where you want to add a
node. When you see the word "ADD" appear, click with
your left mouse button. I usually add more nodes than I think
I'll need since it's easier than adding more later.
5. Once you've added your
nodes, double click on one of your nodes to select them all.
Right click on one of the nodes and choose "Node Type"
from the fly-out menu; then choose Cusp.
6. Click anywhere on your
canvas to deselect your nodes.
7. Click on each node and move
it around and play with the curve until you are happy with the shape
of your arm. You don't have to play with each node...only the
ones you need to to get the right shape for your arm.
8. Here's a close up of my arm
and what each of my nodes looked like when I was done editing:

9. Continue with each part you
think needs "tweaking". I either moved or tweaked
all my shapes and ended up with this:

This sure looks like a mess
right now, doesn't it? Well, get ready, 'cause we're about to
make it look even worse!
