It is only
a tiny rosebud
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens his flowers so sweetly,
Then, in my hands, they die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
The flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So, I'll trust in Him for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the Pilgrim's way.
The pathway that lies before me
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.

explanation of the FBN skill ratings.)
This tutorial was written April 13, 2002
(when I should have been doing my taxes)
For this tutorial you will need:
1. Paint Shop Pro version 7, get a
demo here.
(You should be able to use versions 6
and 8 as well.)
2. Jasc Animation Shop (comes with Paint Shop Pro).
2. Fantastic Machines Paint Engine
which you can get here.
3. My selection files, which you can get here.
(Create a new folder on your hard
drive for these files.)
PLEASE
NOTE: If you have installed Fantastic Machines Paint Engine but
are unable to see any presets, you may have skipped an important
step:
Installation:
copy pe.8bf to
your plug-in directory, for example
C:\PHOTOSHP\PLUGINS
copy fmachine.ini to your windows
directory, i.e. C:\WINDOWS.
note: if you've used a previous version of
PaintEngine
and don't want to lose any parameter
settings you've
saved, don't copy fmachine.ini.
This is found in the readme file
that came with the download - the second part is the one which
will give you the presets - it's also the one most people don't
do. I have seen this same question from many people - and
the reason I know the answer is that I was one who posed this
question myself!!! Loading Selection Files:
PSP7 - Click on Selections/Load From Disk and browse to the
folder you saved the selection files to.
PSP8 - Click Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection From
Disk. When your "Load Selection From Disk" box opens click on
Edit Paths. Then click on Add, then Browse to add the folder you
extracted your files to. You can delete this path when you are
done with this tutorial. |
| Before we
start creating our "rose":
1. Open a new image 200x300,
transparent background, 16 million colors.
2. Save this file as "rose.psp"
(Choose "Save
as PSP7/PSP8 Compatible File" (depending on the version you
are using) under your options when
saving.)
3. Save your file throughout this
tutorial to avoid losing all your hard work through a dreaded
crash. You can save your file by holding your control key and the
"s" key on your keyboard (Ctrl+S) or by hitting your
save icon
4. We will be creating a GIF from
our image and each layer we create will become a "frame"
in our image.
