You now have a "basic" goblet. Kind of blah, isn't it? Well now you can add your own touch and give it some character. Copy your "basic goblet" and close your original so you will have it for later use. Add a new layer to your image and call it Background. Left click on this layer and drag it to the bottom. Or Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. You can use this layer to try out different background colors. (I like to fill this layer with white so I can see the colors better.) Make your color layer active and click on
Colors/Colorize (Shift+L). Following are some samples showing the settings I used:
To add a candle to your image, your can use Mr. Eighties Candle Making Tutorial, which can be found here: "Making a Candle using PSP 6" Try to make your candle approximately 80 pixels wide by 65 pixels high. This will be slightly larger than the size you will need. Once you have your candle made, you can simply copy and paste as a new layer to your candle holder image. Move the candle layer to the bottom, and using your deformation tool, resize the candle to fit inside your holder. Because of the transparency, your background color or pattern will show through. To work around this, add a new layer called Background. Move this layer to the bottom. Make your goblet layer active and using your magic wand, click anywhere outside your goblet. Make your Background layer active and invert your selection. Now flood fill with white. Save as a psp file for later use, or merge all visible layers and export as a picture tube.
