I have only a few samples, since I believe that the tutorial should be the basic foundation for your own creations.  Your creations should be unique, based on your imagination.  These should start those creative juices flowing, though.

Here are the candle holders and candles in three different colors.

It was when I made an image like the following that I decided to write this tutorial.  (Believe me, making this image was a whole lot easier than writing the tutorial!)

To shorten the stem, I cut a portion of the stem and pasted it as a new layer.  Using the deformation tool, I just shortened this section, moved it to the bottom, and lined up the three sections of the candle holder.
