The idea for this tutorial came from a
greeting card I saw, using the
artwork of Cheryl
Welch, who uses a combination of watercolor painting,
collage and
flower pressing to produce unique and appealing images.

The Angel you create from this tutorial will be
unique - try as I might I was unable to recreate my original
Angel! Nice to know that no two Angels will look alike - your
Angel will be uniquely yours!!!
For this tutorial you will need:
1. Paint Shop Pro
(Written using version 7, but should
work with any version.)
2. My wings/leaves tubes. (PSP5 compatible)
3. My Angel selection file.
4. My watering can image. (PSP5 compatible)
5. Flower tubes of your choice.
(You'll need plenty of these - I used a total of 10 different flowers.)
6. Lots of patience...though not
difficult, this tutorial may seem frustrating at times!
(Don't say I didn't warn you!)
Click here to download a zip file of the items you will need.
Unzip to a folder on your hard drive.
(Tip: In PSP7 you can load
"selection" files from any folder on your hard drive, so it is
not necessary to place the selection file I have provided in any
specific folder. However; in PSP8 you will have to Edit Paths and add
the folder you unzipped your file to.)
Here is a site where I found plenty of
flower tubes:

...of course, you can make your own flowers, also!!!
These
instructions are written to use the picture tube tool. You will
need to download and install the flower picture tubes you find to follow
these instructions. Since your Angel will be personalized with the
flowers you choose, you will have to determine the size when placing
your picture tube on your canvas. You will probably need to become
familiar with the Undo button for this tutorial!
If you
are comfortable with using the copy and paste method and resizing your
graphics (I used the deformation tool a lot), please feel free to use this method.
Ready? Okay, let's get
started making our Garden Angel...
