1. Click on your "mouse1" layer
and send to the bottom. (Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom).
2. Click on your "mouse2" layer and send to the
bottom. (Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom).
3. Click on your "mouse3" layer and send to the
bottom. (Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom).
4. Click on your "mouse4" layer and send to the
bottom. (Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom).
5. Click on your "roof" layer
and sent to the bottom. (Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom). Your Layer
Palette should now look like this:

Save 6. We have 8
layers with mice on them so we need 8 copies of our roof. Make sure
your "roof" layer is active and duplicate 7 times
(Layers/Duplicate). Your Layer Palette should look like this:

9. Turn off the visibility for all but your
"roof" and "mouse4" layers.
10. With your "mouse" layer active, click on
your Eraser Tool and change your settings to the following:

Shape: Round
-
Size: 1-10
-
Hardness: 100
-
Step: 1
-
Density: 100
-
Thickness: 100
-
Rotation: 0
-
Opacity: 100
10. Erase the any portion of
your mouse which is not above the chimney, to get the following:
11. Merge these two layers
(Layers/Merge Visible); rename this layer "frame1" and turn off this
layer's visibility.
Save
12. Turn on the visibility for
your "mouse3" and "Copy of roof" layers.
13. If needed, use your Mover Tool to move your
mouse so that there is no red showing to the side of your chimney,
then use your Eraser Tool (same settings) to erase all of your mouse
that is over the chimney.
14. Merge these two layers (Layers/Merge
Visible); rename this layer "frame2" and turn off this layer's
visibility.
Save
15. Turn on the visibility for
your "mouse2" and "Copy(2) of roof" layers.
16. Make sure your "mouse2" layer is active and
use your Eraser Tool (same settings) to erase all of your mouse that
is over the chimney. Merge these two layers (Layers/Merge Visible);
rename this layer "frame3" and turn off this layer's visibility.
17. Turn on the visibility for your "mouse1"
and "Copy(3) of roof" layers.
18. Make sure your "mouse1" layer is active and
use your Eraser Tool (same settings) to erase all of your mouse that
is over the chimney. Merge these two layers (Layers/Merge Visible);
rename this layer "frame4" and turn off this layer's visibility.
Save
19. Turn on the visibility for
your "Copy(4) of roof" layer and ALL of your "greeting" layers.
20. At this point you can use your Mover Tool
to arrange/rearrange your mice if you'd like.
21. I decided I wanted mine to appear to be
floating down to the roof, so I moved them as shown below:

Save 22. Once you are
happy with the placement of you mice, turn off the visibility for
all layers. 23. Turn on
the visibility for your "Copy(4) of roof" layer and your "greeting4"
layers. 24. Merge these
two layers (Layers/Merge Visible); rename this layer "frame5" and
turn off this layer's visibility.
Save
25. Turn on the visibility for
your "Copy(5) of roof" layer and your "greeting3" layers.
26. Merge these two layers (Layers/Merge
Visible); rename this layer "frame6" and turn off this layer's
visibility. 27. Turn on
the visibility for your "Copy(6) of roof" layer and your "greeting2"
layers. 28. Merge these
two layers (Layers/Merge Visible); rename this layer "frame7" and
turn off this layer's visibility.
29. Turn on the visibility for your "Copy(7) of
roof" layer and your "greeting end" layers.
30. Merge these two layers (Layers/Merge
Visible); rename this layer "frame8".
31. Turn on the visibility for all layers
(Layers/View/All).
Save 31. You should
now have 8 layers, named "frame1" through "frame8", from bottom to
top as shown below:

32. Make sure all your layers are visible. |
