Well, all it took was completing my first
"pixel painting" tutorial and I was hooked.
This is hopefully only the first of many I will be
writing...I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Written using Paint Shop Pro Version 8.1, but should
work fine with earlier versions.

  *** COLORING OUR JUKEBOX - PART I***

We will be adding color to our jukebox by
sections as numbered in the screenshot below:

1. Change your foreground color to #DDEEFF.

2. Click on your Magic Wand tool and use the following settings:

3. Click inside section #1 and floodfill with your foreground color.

4. Float your selections. (Selections/Float)

5. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: #0050A2

6. Deselect. (Selections/Select None)

7. Change your foreground color to white.

8. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside the sections with #2.

9. Floodfill with white.

10. Float your selections.

11. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 50
Blur: 5
Color: black

12. Deselect.

  Save

13. Change your foreground color to #DBFFE0.

14. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside the sections with #3.

15. Floodfill with your foreground color.

16. Float your selections.

17. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: #088A11

18. Deselect.

  Save

19. Change your foreground color to #FEFCC6.

20. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside the sections with #4.

21. Floodfill with your foreground color.

22. Float your selections.

23. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: #FEA416

24. Deselect.

  Save

25. Change your foreground color to #F98DAE.

26. Using your Magic Wand click inside section #5.

27. Floodfill with your foreground color.

28. Float your selection.

29. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: #AB0538

30. Deselect.

You should now have this:

*** COLORING OUR JUKEBOX - PART II ***

We will be adding more color to our jukebox by
sections as numbered in the screenshot below:

1. Using your Magic Wand click inside section #6.

2. Floodfill with your foreground color. (#F98DAE)

3. Apply a Blinds effect (Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds) using the following settings:

Width: 4
Opacity: 100
Horizontal: unchecked
Light from left/top: checked
Color: #AB0538

4. Deselect.

5. Change your foreground color to white.

6. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside sections #7.

7. Floodfill with your foreground color.

8. Float your selection.

9. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 50
Blur: 5
Color: black

10. Reapply your cutout, changing the Vertical and Horizontal settings to: -1.

11. Deselect.

12. Change your foreground color to #FEFCC6.

13. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside sections #8.

14. Floodfill with your foreground color.

15. Float your selection.

26. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside the four sections #10.

27. Floodfill with your foreground color.

28. Float your selection.

29. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 25
Blur: 2
Color: black

30. Reapply your cutout, changing the Vertical and Horizontal settings to: -1.

31. Deselect.

32. Change your foreground color to #DBFFE0.

33. Using your Magic Wand click inside section #11.

34. Floodfill with your foreground color.

35. Float your selection.

36. Apply a Blinds effect (Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds) using the following settings:

Width: 3
Opacity: 100
Horizontal: unchecked

37. Deselect.

27. Reapply your cutout, changing the Vertical and Horizontal settings to: -1.

28. Deselect.

  Save

29. Change your foreground color to #F8D7BE.

30. Using your Magic Wand click inside section #21.

31. Floodfill with your foreground color.

32. Float your selection.

33. Apply a cutout with the following settings:

Vertical: 1
Horizontal: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: #BD6423

34. Reapply your cutout, changing the Vertical and Horizontal settings to: -1.

34. Deselect.

  Save

35. Change your foreground color to black.

36. Using your Magic Wand AND holding your shift key, click inside both sections #22.

37. Floodfill with your foreground color.

38. Deselect.

39. Change your foreground color to #0050A2.

36. Using your Magic Wand Click inside section #23.

37. Floodfill with your foreground color.

38. Deselect.

You're done...and should now have this:

39. You can save as a jpg, export as a picture tube, or both.
